Terms of Use

1. Purpose

These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the Fromton website (hereinafter "the Service"), a cheese discovery platform available at fromton.app. By using the Service, you unconditionally accept these Terms.

2. Access to the Service

The Service is freely accessible to any user with internet access. Creating an account is required to leave reviews or submit content. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.

3. Registration and User Account

To register, you must provide a username and a valid email address. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity carried out from your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, please notify us immediately at contact@fromton.app.

4. User Content

By publishing a review or any other content on Fromton, you certify that:

• The content is original and you are its author
• It does not infringe any third-party rights (intellectual property, privacy, etc.)
• It does not contain hateful, defamatory, obscene or illegal material

You grant Fromton a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, reproduce and adapt your content within the Service.

5. Moderation

Fromton reserves the right to moderate, refuse or delete any content that does not comply with these Terms or is deemed inappropriate, without prior notice or justification.

6. Intellectual Property

All elements of the Service, including its structure, design, texts and data, are protected by intellectual property law. Any unauthorised reproduction or use is prohibited.

7. Liability

Fromton strives to ensure the availability and accuracy of published information. However, the Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. Fromton shall not be held liable for any direct or indirect damage resulting from use of the Service.

8. Hosting and Infrastructure

The Fromton website is hosted on Vercel (Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA). The backend API is hosted on Railway (Railway Corp., San Francisco, CA, USA). Data is stored via Supabase on servers located within the European Union. These service providers are subject to appropriate contractual guarantees for data transfers outside the EU.

9. Suspension and Termination

Fromton reserves the right to suspend or delete any account that violates these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at contact@fromton.app.

10. Amendments

Fromton may amend these Terms at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes by email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, the courts of Versailles shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
